FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I BUY AN ORIGINAL?

I create as many paintings as possible and typically release them in collections on my website a few times per year. This will be well advertised beforehand via social media, my blog, and mailing list. These paintings tend to go pretty quickly, so be sure to stay up to date! Join the newsletter (for real, please do!) for sneak peaks and early releases. Originals will be available here.

CAN I COMMISSION A PAINTING?

Yes! I take on a certain number of commissions per year. This will be a special piece for you and for you to love. This is very much a collaborative process between artist and client to ensure everyone is happy. Commissions may undergo two revisions before an additional fee will be charged. Should you be interested, you can reach out here.

PRINT QUALITY & DETAILS:

All reproductions in my shop are Giclee reproductions (fine art reproductions using a high-quality inkjet printer). At this time I’m offering prints on paper, which are printed to order by a local printing house. These can take 10-14 business days to arrive back to the studio and then we scurry to package and ship them to you. You can shop my available prints here. Just a note about displaying your prints: Please do not use tape (including painters or washi tape) on the front of your new print as it will pull the pigment from the print/canvas. Should you be interested in different sizes or canvas prints, please reach out here.

FRAMING:

I highly encourage framing all your prints and originals.  Not only do they look incredibly beautiful framed, but it will help to protect your fresh artwork from wear and dust.  We do not currently offer studio framing, but do have a few recommendations!

Custom: If you’re interested in a custom frame, I recommend that you check out a local frame shop first. They will likely have a larger selection and provide in-person assistance (plus you’re supporting LOCAL!).

Online Framers: If that's not an option, I recommend both Framebridge and Simply Framed.  I have worked closely with both companies and they are wonderful and quick!  It’s very simple: create an account, upload a photo of the artwork, chose a frame from their selection (and boy are they great selections!), they’ll mail you packing to return the piece (I recommend flat mailers for smaller prints and tubs for larger items), and they mail it back to you framed and ready to hang. Sign up with your email and receive 15% off your first purchase.

Ready Made: Most home stores and art stores have a variety of frames for pieces 24x36 and smaller. My favorite modern black frame can be found at CB2 here. If you’re on a budget and are looking to frame a smaller piece, I recommend Target’s Project 62 selection. If you love vintage and those chunky museum-like frames, visit your local antique shops or Facebook marketplace. I often purchase vintage framed artworks, pop out the existing work and replace with my own (Woot woot!).

Think About The Presentation. Truly. Matting your print will make it look much more expensive and bona fide. If the paper features raw or rippled edging, I highly recommend float framing (oh it’s so lovely!)

DO YOU OFFER LARGER PRINTS?

At this point, the sizes listed with each product are what I’m offering. The image quality and the delicacy of the details are very important to me. Prints are top-notch and come from a fancy-smancy local fine art printer. If you’re interested in a particular size print, you can reach out to me here. If you’re interested in filling a large wall with my artwork, I always creating a gallery wall collection containing 3-7 pieces. I offer collector discounts if you’re purchasing multiple prints at once. Email hello@morgangoodwinart.com to discuss that!

Once your order is placed, you will receive an Order Confirmation email with your order summary. Once shipped, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email with a tracking number. Orders may be split across multiple shipments, and items ordered together may not be shipped on the same day. Orders are typically shipped once a week.
